UNFI Paid Time Off:  Washington

The below information applies to job postings in any of UNFI’s Washington locations (or for any remote job posting that may be performed by an applicant who resides and will work from Washington).

Paid Holidays:​​​​​​​

 

  • Distribution Centers/ Operations: Most positions within one of UNFI’s distribution centers will receive six paid holidays plus an additional floating holiday.

Paid Time Off:

Paid Time Off is provided pursuant to UNFI policy.  The below is a summary of the PTO options for newly hired associates upon hire. 

 

  • Distribution Centers
    • Job posting categories:  Logistics / Warehouse Operations; Transportation (Non-Driver)​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
      • Non-Exempt - 1.128 hours per pay period
      • Exempt - 2.615 hours per pay period​​​​​​
  • Driver* -1.282 hours per pay period
  • Corporate/Region/Sales​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

*Drivers based in the Spokane or Burlington locations receive six paid holidays, two paid floating holidays, and the following additional paid time off (subject to waiting period and usage requirements per applicable company policy):​​​​​​​

  • Accrual (per pay period) of 40 paid vacation hours per year; plus
  • Accrual (per pay period) of personal/sick time at the rate of 1 hour for every 40 hours worked (or 52 hours, whichever is greater).

 

Other Paid Time Off (amounts vary per policy and depending on the specific circumstances for leave; type and amount of other paid time off may vary according to any applicable collective bargaining agreement):  Bereavement (3 days); Jury (up to 2 weeks), and parental leave (duration dependent on Short Term Disability eligibility and other eligibility requirements, but most associates will be eligible for up to 4 weeks of paid parental leave).
